Rice's Recent Off-Field Troubles
Rice missed the first six games of this season following an NFL suspension for his role in instigating a multi-vehicle accident on a Texas roadway that resulted in several individuals hurt. Rice was sentenced 30 days in jail and probationary supervision after entering a guilty plea to felony charges.
Statistically, Rice concluded the season with 53 catches for 571 yards and five touchdowns as the Chiefs finished 6-11 and missed the playoffs for the first time in a ten-year span.
