Eulogies Flow for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

Well beyond 14 days following the shocking loss of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he only now felt able to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Adequate time has gone by that I can now articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "When we commenced passing more hours together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor posted archival material from the production, adding that he cannot recall "a single day without joy".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Things that Rob valued immensely. This is one of the many reasons he was the best person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he comprehended the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles judge decided to prevent the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order put a embargo on the investigation to limit the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" pertaining to the active case.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a public database listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the tragedy, public figures offered different reactions.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing provocative statements that were broadly criticized by numerous individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the detractors last week. Talking on his program, Rogan described the comments as "disappointing" and implied they demonstrated a concerning lack of empathy.

Rogan finished by proposing that an aide could have stepped in when the decision to weigh in on the passing was made.
