Dominant Sabalenka Wins Back-to-Back WTA Player of the Year Accolades.

The tennis star in action
The Belarusian player concluded the season with an notable 23-3 Grand Slam win-loss record.

The top-ranked player Aryna Sabalenka has been chosen the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second successive year.

The twenty-seven-year-old won four titles – the highest tally on the circuit – including retaining the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to claim her fourth Grand Slam singles triumph.

A Season of Dominance

Over the course of the tour, Sabalenka played in a circuit-leading nine finals, with losses coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The star player also won the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open as the clay season progressed. She remained the entire year as the top-ranked player, finishing 2025 atop the rankings for a second successive year.

In July, she became the first athlete to exceed 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams in 2015.

Historic Statistics

Sabalenka finished the season with a sixty-three to twelve match record, and collected a record eleven million pounds in prize money.

She received nearly 80% of the votes cast by global tennis journalists.

Later this month, she is scheduled to face 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match in a bid to "help bring women's tennis to a higher level".
