American-Palestinian Adolescent Liberated Following Nine-Month Period in Israel's Custody

An American-Palestinian teenager who spent 270 days in imprisonment by Israel absent formal charges has been freed.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 at the time of his arrest last February within the occupied West Bank, during a family visit on holiday from Florida under suspicion of rock throwing toward Israeli settlers, allegations he repeatedly contested.

The US state department applauded the teenager's freedom.

Currently aged sixteen, needed medical care upon gaining freedom, family members reported.

According to them, he appears pale, underweight, and is suffering from conditions developed during imprisonment.

Via family representatives, the youth's uncle expressed the family's "immense relief".

The uncle, Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" during the entire detention period.

"Currently, our priority is ensuring Mohammed receives the immediate medical attention he requires after being subjected to mistreatment by authorities and cruel circumstances throughout his detention."

US officials announced ongoing to extend consular services to Mohammed's family.

{"US government authorities gives utmost importance than the safety and security for United States citizens"," the department emphasized.

A group of American legislators submitted a formal letter to diplomatic officials and the White House, urging greater action to release him.

Mr Ibrahim, parent of four children who runs an ice cream business based in Tampa, had earlier stated his son only confessed to throwing stones due to physical abuse.

There were no visits or spoken to Mohammed since February, learning information solely regarding the treatment via legal paperwork.

Mohammed was held without charge in Ofer prison on the West Bank.

Additionally housing grown detainees, some of whom have been convicted for major terrorist activities and homicide.

An estimated 350 Palestinian minors in security custody detained within Israeli facilities, based on prison authority data.

Several lack formal charges while advocacy organizations, including UN bodies, report instances of mistreatment and torture.

After the teenager's freedom, the uncle stated relatives would persist in advocating for justice for his cousin family member Sayfollah.

The dual national youth according to health authorities died from beating by Israeli settlers amid clashes in July.

Initially, military authorities reported officials were investigating information regarding a civilian had died.

Both young men were employed together in the family ice cream shop in Tampa, Florida.

No charges have been filed regarding Sayfollah's death.

"We expect the American government to protect our families," the uncle stated.
